WATER-BASED EPOXY PRIMER/ CONSOLIDATOR/ MOISTURE BARRIER

Aqua-Lock is a clear water-based epoxy with fast drying and curing for use as a primer, consolidator or moisture barrier over concrete. Aqua-Lock can be overcoated with waterborne and moisture curing polyurethane or provide a moisture vapour barrier/ surface consolidator/ primer prior to the subsequent gluing of parquet or timber overlays with reactive urethane adhesives.

Primer / consolidator – Mark out area to be coated into 40 sqm sections and pour mixed kit in a grid pattern over the floor area. Cut in edges with a brush and promptly roll the coating out evenly. One 5 litre unit will cover 40sqm and this is the rate at which it should be applied to ensure correct film build (approximately 8sqm per litre). Use a 6mm roller sleeve.

Moisture Barrier - Mark out area to be coated into 20 sqm sections and pour mixed kit into a grid patter over the floor area. Cut in edges with a brush and promptly roll the coating out evenly. As a guide, 2 coats at this film build can be expected to reduce RH by about 10% as per 16-hour hydrometer test. One 5 litre unit will cover 20sqm and this is the rate at which it should be applied to ensure correct film build (approximately 4sqm per litre). Use a 6mm roller sleeve
